The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

I think we're feeling the Olympic spirit.

We can't believe it's already been 3 years. Here we are enjoying our last week with them before they move back to Zion.

Well, It's obvious Bailey and Lizzy are legit swimmers with their caps and goggles. All that's missing is the full length speed swimsuits.

Then to top off the "Spirit of the Olis" (HB Style or better yet Brock and, his accomplice Ian, style....not to dis all of us normal HBers) they think they can give Michael Phelps a run for his money. Of course of all of his events they thought they'd pick a "do-able" event like the 200 Medley. After asking me the order of the strokes, they attempted the first length. Brock said he was doing backstroke but I'm still not sure if that's really what it was. Ten minutes later they finally finished. I couldn't tape the whole thing b/c on the second lap of the breaststroke Reagan jumped in after Brock, in an attempt to save her drowning father. I had to stop taping and jump in the water because dad couldn't stop in the middle of his "big event". He didn't want to mess up his time. He thought he was in contention for not only the gold medal but also the world record.

Hanging out on Main Street....just waiting for story time to start.

Make a wish! "Mommy, can I have another penny please!"
Just Chillaxin.......with crazy BIG bear.

The Street Fair on Main St.

Here we are at the Street Fair on Main Street. One of our family Favs! Every Tuesday afternoon until dark they block off Main Street and have a big fair/ farmer's market type of deal. It's so much fun. We just stroller down or ride our bikes and fill up on all the fruit samples and get dinner and stuff. Reagan always loves it when we get to the end b/c her favorite booth is the fresh roasted peanuts in the shell. We buy a bag and spend our whole walk home breaking peanut shells open for Reagan and listening to her moan yummies to her little stomach's content.

We weren't sure if Reagan would be able to climb up this herself but then after a few tries and watching the other kids she finally made it up. When she got to the top and could slide down it was all worth the effort. As you can see she loved it. After a while she caught on that you could just climb up the face of the slide and keep going down over and over again instead of having to get off and go around to the back and climb up. When she first climbed up the face of the slide we saw her at the top and than plop she fell off the back side. She didn't realize how thin it was at the top. Brock and I bolted over to the other side. Luckily she was fine...just a little spooked. Now every time we pass Main Street she says, "Mommy I fell off the slide but daddy got me."

We stopped to listen to this cover band. Reagan was diggin it. I think she started to become some to the entertainment herself.

Turtles!

Reagan loved the turtles at the "Reptile Zoo" the most because her favorite books are the Franklin the Turtle series. I thought the snakes and iguanas might freak her out but she loved it all.

Story Time......whooohoooo!

Reagan only knows two days of the week. Sunday b/c it 's church day and she is a huge fan of nursery and Wednesday. Wednesday is "Library Day". Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the actual story time. Story time rocks! The teacher reads and acts out all these great stories and the kids sing and hold props and dance to songs. This is so up Reagan's ally. You would think the girl was starved for attention the way she moves around that room. But we all know that's not true. After the stories the kids get their hands stamped and a graham cracker. Reagan never forgets about that cracker! After this, the kids get to go to another room and read books, play with puzzles, dolls, and blocks. What a fun day!

Saying "bye" after story time to one of Reagan's best buddies, Chase. You'd think they never see each other....only like every day b/c they live across the street.

I think Reagan was yelling, "Go Cougs!" as she jumped off.

Today Gale, Amy, Amma, & I (with all our kids) got together. It was so great to catch up with my BFF's from BYU Volleyball. I think we'll be close forever. Even though it's been a while since we've all hooked up, when we get together it just seems like we're back in the van on a road trip, laughing our guts out. I sware when you share experinces together like we did for 5 years you have a bond that just can't be broken. Anywho.....it was a blast to swim and get all our kids together. Wow, we are old! How cool would it be if we all got to sit in the stands together and watch our kids play on the same team some day. Seems even more exciting than playing myself. I hope it happens. I can't wait!

You can't make me go to sleep!

I went to check on Reagan (she had been quiet for an hour). When I saw her I thought she was awake but as I got closer I realized she fell asleep sitting up! Had she been sleeping like this for an hour? I was trying so hard not to laugh and wake her up as I took this video.
