Besides the fact of getting another year older, this birthday was AMAZEBALLS! It'll definitely be a hard one to top! The morning started off with waking up and finding this on my mirror....everyone else was still asleep but Brock was awoken by my sniffles and laughs. After reading each one of these messages I couldn't help but to just bawl my eyes out. I felt soooo LOVED and appreciated. Brock wrote all these things he loves about me (seriously, I was shocked there were so many). Many made me laugh soooo hard and then I'd read another one and just start bawling, knowing that my husband totally understands me and loves all my corks and obsessive behaviors! I am truly one lucky woman!
After Reagan ran into my room this morning and saw what Brock had done for me she quickly ran down stairs. Fifteen minutes later I was calling down to her, "Reagan you really have to come up now and get ready for school!" "OK, OK just come down now, she said." As I cam down she was still preparing, getting the last strawberries cut for my cereal. What a doll! She melts my heart daily!! My birthday just keeps getting better.
Then later that day, after school, Easton comes in with these hiding behind his back. "Mom I have a surprise for you." After I'm done smooching his face off he puts them on the dresser and says, "Well it is your birthday and all mom."
Unfortunately Brock had a work dinner tonight...so at about 7:00 I'm just about to put my kids to bed and I say Happy Birthday to momma! Let's go get some fro yo and you can even get a topping! Of course the kids were beyond excited not only to delay bed time but to go hog wild at the fro yo shop was the "cherry on top"!
I'm sure they were happy to see us finally leave after I just let the twins run free. The twins were in heaven!
So a few days later my present came in the mail. It was a TOTAL surprise. I don't know how Brock pulled it off. Well actually I do, bc he told me how, AMAZING! I had been eyeing this Dooney and Bourke purse for months. Brock had no idea of this until just days before my bday when I randomly mentioned that I thought maybe my mom got it for me. He said to me, "I had no idea you even liked bags" Just when you think you know a person, right!? So he calls my mom and asks her if she did (nope) and then asks her about all the details. So he looks on line, calls the store, can't find it anywhere until the sales lady tells him to try the outlet store. She checks on her computer and somewhere in Connecticut an outlet store shows that they have one left. The only one left in the country. Brock calls, they see they have it and Brock is tripping out...he can't believe after all that, he actually found it and then to top it off she tells him it's on clearance for a quarter of the price. I swear he is the "purse whisperer"! Good luck topping this one family! You definitely outdid yourselves!!
