The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

Reagan's first day of soccer

Reagan woke up today and the first thing she said was, "Mom, is it time for soccer?" Later that morning I asked her to get dressed so we could go to the park and she said, "We can't go. I have soccer today." Her class wasn't until 5PM but that didn't matter. She didn't want anything to get in the way of getting to soccer.
Here they are just kicking around until they put them into groups.
What a kick!

Our little princess turned 4!

The day started off with a surprise breakfast to the donut shop.
By the time we got there they were out of her favorite pink frosting and sprinkles but she didn't mind a bit. She went straight for her daddy's favorite.

Little Bubs needed a few bites too.
Later that afternoon we had a princess party at the park with some of her friends.
Let's go!

Why not have another egg hunt?! Here the kids are scouring the park.
Jude and Easton look like two little hood rats.
All the mommas
It's birthday singing time.
It was soooo windy we couldn't even light her candles.
That's okay. The cupcakes were still delish!

Reagan was so excited to see what she got. Yeah princesses!

Happy Easter

At breakfast, Reagan peeked out the window and said, "Mom the Easter bunny came. I see a blue egg in the dirt that he left for Easton (blue of course always means boy and pink means girl in her world).

After our egg hunt we hopped (no pun intended) in the car for Easter at the Apple Valley Ebmeyer's. The second we walk into great grandpa's house Brock and my two kids head straight for grandpa's homemade popcorn. Yummy!
Grandpa Newman has been playing the piano and organ since he was a young child.
At 89 he is still his ward pianist and organist. It has been his calling for over 40 years. My kids love to pretend they are grandpa and every time they visit they like to take a turn "tickling the ivories". Reagan is helping prep the strawberries for Grandpa Ebmeyer's traditional strawberry shortcake. Grandma even got her a plastic knife so she could feel a part of the process.
This is how Easton helps in making the Shortcake. I sware.....the things that go on behind my back. Buster is in dessert heaven! Take a look at that cake!
Time to find the Easter baskets!
Now it's time for the Easter pinata
Reagan "goes to town" on the pinata. That girl knows how to get herself some candy!
Outta my way! It's candy time!!

My babies are growing up

It's just crazy how big these kids are getting. In my mind Reagan is still my little baby crawling around. And now look at her, she's a big sis and Easton is now turning into a little boy. Can't they just be my babies forever?!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Lucas'

And......they're off
Reagan, Anna, & Miley
Time to check out the goods!
Yummy!!!!

Haircut time

My hairdresser told me this is how she cuts her son's hair. I thought, "Great idea. It'll keep him entertained, right?!" Well it did, but man was my kitchen a slippery, hairy mess when I was done. I guess if I was a professional and it didn't take me an hour I might have a less messy kitchen.
Buster with his new "do".

Daddies finally home

It's almost like clock work. When Brock gets home from a trip
he heads straight outside and waters the plants and the kids are happy that he does. EZ loves being outside with his daddy!
Brock was at spring training in AZ with some of his buddies. He brought Reagan home an Angels cap. At first she wasn't too thrilled (bc it wasn't pink and girly) but a few minutes later she ran outside with her baseball getup in full effect. This is the pose she struck for the picture and I started to laugh so she repeated it about 5 more times as you can see below.
I love that she even put on a wrist band bc that's what her dad wears when he plays baseball although, she likes to wear it on her bicep.
