The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

Santa Ana Zoo

At the Santa Ana Zoo with the Blads.

These monkeys were so cool. They made the craziest sounds. You could hear them clear across the Zoo.

I am a Child of God

This is definitely Reagan's favorite song. Her obsession for is has gotten so bad that we have to listen to it over and over in the car, mind you there are 50 other songs on the CD. And when we get in dad's car she always tells me "No mom. We have to go in your car. Daddy doesn't have Child of God"(we only have the CD in my car). So the other day after the tenth time of having to sing the song with Reagan, Brock says to Reagan, "Why don't you try to sing it by yourself". I guess I shouldn't have been surprised when she actually did it. She should know it by now, after all of that, but we were still shocked and definitely almost in tears!!!

1, 2, 3...

You can tell we play hide and seek a lot. Reagan seems to only associate counting to ten with playing hide and seek, as demonstrated by the closing of the eyes while counting. Either that or she was hoping her dinner would hide so that she didn't have to finish eating it.

Halloween Preview

Getting ready for Halloween this year has been so much fun. Reagan is soooo excited. It's been a lot of fun decorating the house, looking at decorations around the neighborhood and making fun Halloween projects. She loves to tell everyone that asks and doesn't ask that she is going to be a princess for Halloween. We even have knocked on all the doors in our house and have had a few mock "trick-or-treat" run throughs. I think she's got it down. She can't wait to fill her pumpkin pail full of candy. She even had to put on her costume the other day to give it a dry run. I think she's ready!

Preschool

Reagan is showing off her Halloween project.
As you can see Reagan is taking quite well to preschool. Who wouldn't when you can play as much play-doh as you want?

Bucking Bronco

How lucky is Reagan...to have such a great daddy who will play with her to her heart's content. Most mornings before work Reagan begs for some last minute fun. Here's one of her favs.

Happy Labor Day!

We had a fabulous Memorial Day spent at the beach with great friends! The Blads, Kochs, Duncans, Bradshaws, & Sundbergs all were there. The guys played "frisbee challenge" all day and the ladies just got to chill and chat while the kids were busy wallowing in the sand. What a mess but sooooo much fun! We topped the day off with TK burger and it just doesn't get any better than that!

Brent, Courtney, & newest cousin Gavin came to visit

I just melted when I saw this picture. I am so excited for Reagan to be a big sissy! As you can see she is pretty excited herself.

One of Reagan's newest tricks is the summersault but her favorite is when Daddy does it with her. We were hanging out at the Pier/Beach with Brent, Courtney, & Gavin

My first day of "Mommy & Me" Preschool!

"Snack Time!" When they announced it was time for snacks Reagan B-lined it to the table and sat down all excited and patient for her snack. She learned quickly in nursery that the first one seated is the first one to get food. She aint no dummy!
The school has so many fun activities for the day. It's great b/c the teacher has all these stations like fishing, little tubs to practice washing babies, painting, playing in birdseed, playing house, project time, reading time, play-doh, blocks and on and on. It's really great b/c I feel like she can explore so many new things without me having to buy all these different things on my own.

I just thought this picture was too cute. It actually made me sad b/c she looks so old here. It was hard enough for me to do this preschool so young, even thought I am there the whole time, but I just can't believe she's old enough to go to "school"

We are on our way to our first day of preschool. We had to wake Reagan up b/c preschool starts at 9am. When Brock went to get her our of her crib he told her that we are going to go to preschool and she got sooooo excited she ran in to the kitchen and said "Mommy, I'm going to preschool today!" I said, "yes we are." "Here's your toast for breakfast and she said no mommy, no breakfast we have to go to preschool. Hurry mommy get your shoes, let's go!" Today Brock went with us because I hurt my back. What a great husband. He took the day off and took care of us all day. Preschool is every Thursday for 3 hours. The moms go and we even have a parenting class the last 45 minutes of class. We love it so much. We even get to take it with our good friends the Lucas' and the Holmes'.

As you can see Reagan loves song time! Lately she always wants me to do all the dances and songs with her. She does the same thing when we are at Story Time at the Library. By the end of the day she finally caught on that I was a cripple for the day b/c of my back and stopped trying to get me to all the dances and songs.
