The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

Ward Easter Egg hunt

On our way out the door I had to get a quick pic.
Here are the kids at our ward breakfast waiting for the Easter Bunny to come.

It's go time!
Bubba found some eggs too.
No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the kids to look up. There was no getting their eyes off all that delicious goodness.

Do Re Mi....

Playing the "piano" is a favorite in this house. I wonder when I'm gonna have to break the news to them that they haven't any musical genes.

Girls just wanna have fun!

I really hope Reagan never grows out of "dress-up". It's is so cute to see the things these girls come up with. Reagan loves it when her buddy Anna comes over to play.

Isn't bath time the cutest!

Easton is all boy

Although we were so excited that cousin Paije came to visit Easton was so mad that he had to share the motorcycle. He is now in love with anything that has wheels. The second I open the door Easton bolts to the door to get outside so he can play with his toys.
Fortunately, Easton is secure in his manhood. He loves this bike even if it is his sisters girly Ariel bike.
I told Reagan that only mom's and dad's are the bosses of the kids. She said, "well I'm the big sister I have to be the boss of Easton". I said, "you can be in charge of teaching Easton new things". She said, "OK, so I'm his teaching boss". The girl loves to be the boss. So, here she is exercising her "boss" authority teaching EZ to ride the scooter.

Save your pennies

Today on our walk the kids and I got out and played on the grass. The day was sooooo gorgeous why hurry to get home?!
Are you kidding me? I about died when I turned around and saw her striking this pose.
Most people save their pennies to buy something nice. Not Reagan. She saves her pennies so she can throw them in the fountain on Main St. She always asks to bring her wallet on our walks in the hopes that she can convince me to veer off the boardwalk and go up Main St. Most days I give in. It' so cute to see her get so excited over the splashes of water.
Little Bubba
"See Bubba (or Stinks as she likes to call him lately.....I'm desperately trying to get her to change her nickname for Easton back to her original, Bubba) there are my pennies in the fountain".

Little Brother

I know it's lame to go on and on about your own kids but I can't help it. I'm gonna be lame. Don't you just want to eat this kid up? My friend Steph took these adorable pics of EZ at the park the other day. What a sweet little buster. I didn't think life could get any sweeter after Reagan but wow, he just makes us all melt! I asked Reagan today what she likes most about being her. She snapped her fingers and said, "I like that I know how to snap and I like that I have my little brother Easton".

"Girls weekends" are too few and far between!

I'm so thankful to have such great friends. More importantly I am so thankful that they "keep the love alive". It's hard these days with kids, and busy lives to make time for each other, especially since we live all over the country. But thanks Roach for keeping us all in touch! Every year, you don't miss a beat! There is just a special bond you have with your friends from college, especially freshman year in the dorms. I love you guys. We missed you Amy, Heather, and Megan....hope to see you next year!
Here we are at Cirque du Soleil the Beatles Love. How fun was it to just do anything WE wanted. No park, no naps, no diaper changing, no dishes, no bath time, no making dinner, and especially no ESPN (Halle-Freakin-lujah). Just lots of talking in to the wee of the night, fro yo, movies, going out to dinner, pedis, and a spray tan (as Roach says everything looks better with a spray tan, even stretched out baby bellies) But I wouldn't know since I chickened out after Michelle almost "lost her cookies" from the fumes. I will never forget laughing for hours that night at poor Michelle's expense. I love that my friends haven't changed a bit (if anything maybe a little for the better). It was so great to act like a 19 year old again.

Super Bowl 2010

Unfortunately for Luke & EZ, Manning couldn't pull it off this year
Reagan wanted a picture with her in too.
A little half time break for a story
Daddy finally has a football buddy!

Easton's new favorite thing.....fresh breath!

Well, not really the fresh breath part but I've never seen a kid so excited to brush his teeth. Any time we leave the bathroom door open we're sure to find Easton up on the stool having grabbed his brush and scrubbing away at his teeth. Don't even try to pry that brush out of his hands.

Has the world come to an end?

Love my husband and all but when I walked in from the bedroom and saw my husband out in the kitchen making his own sandwich I had to take a picture. And it's not bc he asked me to make him one and I didn't. He didn't even ask me if I'd make it for him first. That was the biggest shocker of the whole thing. I think this is probably the third time in the seven years we've been married that Brock has made himself some food. I swear the guy would rather go hungry than have to make his own meal. People always wonder why he's so thin. Well, there you go. The secret is out.

Who knew you could play in the rain?!

Thank goodness for dads! I like to consider myself an active, fun mom but when it comes to crazy weather (I know it's only rain....I guess that's why I live in So Cal) I leave that fun stuff up to dad. Fortunately Brock lives for playing like a kid too.

Meena, Bapa, & Paije came to town for EZ's 1st birthday!

Reagan & Paije playing on the bunk beds at the condo

Waiting for breakfast at Sugar Shack

Happy 1st Birthday EZ!!!!

I know it's a happy day but I think I'm gonna cry. I can't believe my baby boy is already 1!
Meena taking EZ for a slide

Daddy and Buster

Happy Birthday to YOU!
I though he'd love having his first cupcake but I couldn't get him to eat it. It's okay though bc Reagan was happy to eat his too!
Easton is a lucky boy. He is lucky to have close to 15 or so friends just in our ward alone.
Luke is usually the champ when it comes to eating the most and the fastest but Jude gave him a run for his money this year!
Caden and Easton on the slide.
Time for presents. Reagan told me before the party that she'd open all the presents since EZ is still learning.

Happy birthday to the sweetest most wonderful boy I've ever known. We love you Buster! Thanks for being in our family!

Just another fun day being a kid...

I'm lucky to have lots of fun mom friends that are always up for something fun to do with the kids. Today we got a few of us together and took the kids to the reptile "zoo". The kids love it bc they get to feed the turtles.

After the zoo we headed off to the park for a picnic and playing time.

This is now the second time we've done curlers. This time we were smarter about it and put them in the night before so they'd actually stay in for all of church. My plan is to do a before and after pic but I always seem to forget the after pic. And the after is the best part, not because Reagan gets her great curls but it's more bc of how she acts with them in. When she gets to church she holds her head up extra high and kind of sways her head like she's all fancy. It's hilarious. Both times we've done them for church just by chance we've sat in front of her nursery teachers. They are always so nice to comment on her hair and compliment her but even before they get the chance to say anything Reagan sways her head and says, "Look I have curls! But you can't touch bc they'll fall out" It's so funny how girly she is.

Bath Time!

It's official! Reagan is now a sunbeam.

My best girl's first day in primary
