The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

Time for popcorn

Jude and Easton

"Time for popcorn!" has got to be the sentence my kids love most. I sware they asked me about ten times for popcorn today so when the time finally came, they were in heaven!

Bed time stories with Daddy

We were at the "spinner park" and Easton and Brin were sitting on this rock together. They were so cute sitting here together but I just kept laughing bc EZ wouldn't let me put his hat on right. Every time I did he would pull it down like this like he was "too cool". He does the same thing when I put a hoodie on him. He always pulls it down over his eyes. He can't even see but I guess you have to make some sacrafices to be cool.

Is this not what summer is all about?.....sitting on the lawn after dinner and enjoying the evening with some summer treats!

Tennis Anyone?

Reagan started a tennis class this summer. Here she is at her first lesson.

Bubba goes with us and helps us get the balls. He loves it!

Reagan's first day of "real" preschool

We woke up this morning and saw this sitting on the table. Brock leaves for work before we wake up and so I guess he got up extra early this morning to run over to the donut shop and pick out this special treat for Reagan's first day of preschool. Daddy you rock!

On our way to preschool this morning Reagan said, "Mom, sometimes I get shy when I don't know people can you say hi to my teacher for me?" (that means that she wanted me to introduce her) so I said sure and then told her that we would stay as long as she wanted until she felt okay to be left by herself. Ten minutes into class Reagan "whispers" back to me from the front of her classroom where they were doing story time "I'm okay mom! You can leave now and then blows me a kiss" I about melted and didn't want to leave but rushed out so I wouldn't cramp her style.

Happy Father's Day to the greatest Daddy EVER!

Thanks Daddy for all the FUN!!! We love you! EZ & Reagan

"L to the Dub" or better known as The Lawrence Welk Resort

"Mommy where are you?"
"Are you in here?"
"Here I am!" Lawrence Welk is the place to be. Brock has been coming here for years with his family and since we've been married it's become a family favorite for our little family too. This year we decided to have our traditional "friends trip" at Lawrence Welk too.
Here are Luke and Reagan at "make your own ice cream sundae"
Hanging out in the game room

"I wanna play too!"

Yeah! Bubba finally gets to play too!

Making bubbles with Bubba
Although Reagan has been down water slides before she was having nothing to do with them this time. So I told her I would go down with her. When we got to the top the the lifeguard said she had to go by herself. I didn't tell Reagan this. When she sat down I just gave her a little push thinking she'll go down and realize how fun it is. Yea right! She was sooooo mad at me. I'm such a mean mom. Luckily our friend Ryan bribed her with some cookies and that's all it took. She and her buddy Luke went down about 50 times non-stop!

Now we're on vacation! Our friends, the Christensens, live pretty close to LW so they got a couple of girls to come over and babysit for us this night. We went to a kid free dinner, got some dessert and then headed off to the grotto. When we got home that night all the kids were fast asleep and we just stayed up and talked the night away! AHHHHH!
Here the kids are eating their cereal and watching cartoons. How great to be a kid and on vacation. Wasn't that always the greatest!?
