Our Family RV trip to Utah, Idaho, Yellowstone, and Jackson Hole July 2011
I couldn't believe how gorgeous everything was! Every time I visit, I'm in awe! You take it for granted when you live there.
Reagan and Steph's girls
Easton was in HEAVEN with this motorcycle!
I couldn't go to Utah w/o visiting my besties! Wendy, Chris, & Steph, LOVE you guys!
We spent the night with Uncle Brian and Aunt Robyn. Reagan is playing with fireworks with her cousin, Trevie.
Uncle Brian always spoils my kids with new toys when he sees them. Some how he always know exactly what to get them.
I truly don't think there is a kid out there that loves "Cars" more than this boy!
On our way home from church with Brian.
Jeff's son, Sam, and Reagan
We hung out with a few of Brock's besties (I guess I should say buddies bc besties sounds a little metro for a guy). We had a BBQ with Buck and Ian and their families and then we stayed the night at Bucks.
The next morning we got donuts with Buck and Sam.
Temple Square

Daddies little helper
Brock's dream of hitting the road in an RV has finally come true!
Nap time!
We picked up the RV in Orem and started our trip to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Idaho.
Reagan couldn't wait to try out the ladder and get on the top of the RV.

Seeing Old Faithful

Teaching the kids how to skip rocks

Heeeeyyyy! Brock taught Easton how to be smooth like the Fonze.
Brock made the kids breakfast outside on the camping stove.

This is another place we camped out in Yellowstone. Brock made a fort in the woods with the kids.

Here we are fishing at Lake Yellowstone. We really wanted to see a bear while we were in Yellowstone and the peope at the lake said we just missed seeing one that had been passing right by the lake just before we came.
We also had little luck when it came to seeing fish. Although we didn't catch any, we sure had fun trying. The lake was absolutely gorgeous! Brock bought the kids some sweedish fish so at least they got so see some kind of fish. I'm sure they preferred those ones more anyways! It was pretty funny bc, we rationed their sweedish fish intake and sometimes we'd catch Easton sneaking over, soooo quietly to where we hid the fish and we'd see him shoving down a fish before we caught him. It was hilarious!
Reagan drew a picture of our family in the RV.
Here we are now in Jackson Hole. We walked down from our campsite into town and had one of our favorites, pizza dinner, and then on to the park and shops.

Now for some ice cream!

Alpine Slides on King Mountain in Jackson Hole

Here Easton and I are waiting for Daddy and Reagan so we can video their second run down.
That was AWESOME!!
Here we are now to visit SWEET, SWEET Grandma Carol in Idaho Falls. I asbsolutely love going to visit her. I have so many great childhood memories here. She is in the same home still that my Mom grew up in and I love to be able to come to this same place and feel all that same love I remember as a child. Doesn't she look amazing. It's all that healthy eating and good livin!! I learned all my healthy tricks from her. She has mowed her own lawn all her life and still does it today in her 80s.
I don't want to forget all the feelings and memories that we had on this trip so far. It was so great RVing bc we really were able to bond as a family and isn't that what family vacations are for? The fact that it was just us, no other friends or family, the kids really became best buds bc they only had themselves to play with. Usually on trips with other families, we feel like we don't see Reagan for days bc she is so enthrawled in all the fun of being with her friends or cousins and she doesn't give us the time of day. Since it was just us and no distractions, we did everything together and had so much fun. As a kid I remember playing in grandma's grass doing cartwheels, having picnics, playing in the water with the hose, going on walks, and laying on a blanket in the grass listening to my mom and grandma talk for hours, just simple fun. It was nostalgic for me to be able to share this with my kids and do the same things now with them.
I love that this is exactly what I did too, have my grandma listen to me while I hacked away on the piano pretending I was a concert pianist. Now it's my little girl doing the same! Wow, I'm getting old.
Brock is so great about giving grandma a break when we visit and cutting her lawn for her.

This is another great memory as a kid, Scotty's, we would always come here on our summer trips for a fresh raspberry shake. I loved it when my dad would tell us about how he would bring my mom here on dates in highschool and he'd have to spend all his "pipe hauling" money on my mom bc she loved everything at Scotty's

Have you ever seen so many ducks? I 'm surprised we didn't get attacked.
Eating popsicles with grandma, sugar-free of course bc grandma says sugar is the devil, I love this woman!
After my grandma's house we drove to Elba, Idaho and met up with Brock's family. We went to this beautiful river and rode jet skis. The best part was this awesome slide. Here's Brock going down. It was so fun Reagan and I went off all day. There was also a lift at the bottom that would lift the end of the slide to make you fligh up into the air before you landed in the river.

The RV became the party place. All the kids always wanted to ride together.
After we went to the river, it was back to Brenda's where we all stayed for the "Reyembe" family reunion.
It was so great to be able to be in this vast land where the kids could just run and play outside all day. They went oh hay rides, rode four wheelers, rode horses, fed chickens, gathered eggs, fed calfs their milk, rode tire swings, jumped on the trampoline, made crafts, went hiking, swimming, rode trackters, cooked by campfire etc. What an amazing trip to be with family and expose the kids to ranch life.
Easton standing on the fence looking out at the cows.
Brock and Easton
Corrin and Reagan showing off the bracelets they just made at the craft tables.
Reagan's cousins taught her how to ride their little 4 wheeler. The second they woke up each morning they'd jump on the four wheelers and ride all over the ranch.
This swing was so FUN but kinda scarry to me anyways. They boys would pull you super fast on the 4 wheeler and then you'd let go and swing so high you could touch the tops of the trees. Here I am attempting to get pulled. I would let go a little early bc I was afraid to go as high as the boys went.
Easton feeding the calf.

Reagan riding the horses with her cousins
Uncle Bruce put on his rodeo gear. He was tapping in on his inner cowboy. They put a rodeo night on for us to try to rope cows and play rodeo games.
Reagan and cousin Laken riding at the rodeo

Reagan and Brock trying to rope a cow.
Here the kids played rodeo games. One game was a relay race where they had to pass the cow dung on a spoon with out letting it fall. Oh yes, we're authentic cowboys!

Laken,Reagan, Taylor, and Corrin
Here we are at the "water hole" in Burley, Idaho. Isn't this gorgeous! Look at the rainbow, so cool.

Reagan jumping off the diving board. This place was sooo much fun!
Reagan and Easton

Brock cliff jumping with the kids
Brock loved digging holes with the tracktor.
Cousin Grant playing baseball with Easton.
Brock making dutch oven peach cobbler with the boys.
After Elba everyone went to Aunt Breanne's house in Beaver Utah for Pioneer Day. That night we went to the rodeo.
Reagan loves to be with the "big" girls. She wouldn't leave Kierstin's side.
The next morning was the Beaver Pioneer Day parade. Anyone who wants to be in the parade can be. Reagan and her cousins were able to get on their Beaver cousins float.
We met a new friend in our campsite and the kids rode around with him on their scooters then we invited him for what the kids had been baegging me for for days, they wanted to eat cookies and milk on the roof of the RV.
