The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

Give Thanks!

This year for Thanksgiving we started a new tradition. A "Give Thanks" Tree. Every night at dinner I would put a construction paper circle on everyone's plate with a pen and we would all write what we were thankful for that day. It was so fun! Some of my favorite's for Easton were, he'd be hanging his scribbled paper and I'd ask him what he was thankful for and he'd say "I'm thankful for guns mommie. Oh, and Lightning McQueen."
Thanksgiving and Uncle Kim's and Aunt Sharon's always is a hit not just because she makes the greatest rolls in the land and I need to add sweet potatoes to that list this year but the tramploine has got to be the highlight for the kids!
Grandma and Grandpa with their little ones

 Brock's highlight, pingpong

The girls wouldn't leave aunt Tahnee's side.

Reagan's Soccer Party

Way to go Sis! Reagan was really over soccer but sooooo excited to get her 1st trophy at the pizza party. As soon as she got wind of the fact she's be getting a trophy she daily would ask me, "where do you think I should put my trophy in my room?" It had to be perfect she said, not too low where Easton or his play group friends could reach it and break it.

Zoe and Reagan, the team's best grass pickers!

Superman!

Little Bubba LOOOOOOVES Superman. This is his favorite blanket and he asks me all the time to put it in his shirt so he can be Superman. Is there anything greater than kids? Why do they have to grow up?

My Sweet Sissy! November 14, 2011

Today after school I was resting on the couch and I looked over and saw Reagan on the table with paper, scissors etc.  This is not uncommon bc she often is drawing or making up some craft on her own. Then later she asked me when dad would be home bc she had a special surprise for us. At 4:00 she asked if we could call dad bc he still wasn’t home. I guess she had told him to hurry and come home bc she has a surprise for him bc when he walked in the door, she ran to him and he said that he was so excited to see the surprise. She immediately grabbed our hands, made us close our eyes and walked us up to our room where we found these precious notes on each of our pillows. What a sweet, sweet, girl. We were sooooo touched by her cute note with the little flower and heart she put for each of us!! Love this dear angel sooooo much!!!
In "Reagan writing" is says...."I love you Dad. You are the best dad on the whole earth" and then same for me.

Trick-or-treating at the Duncan's

We're back at the Duncan's for some dinner and then off to some good old fashion trick-or-treating.

Easton taking a closer look...."Is it really true? Do I get to eat all this delicious goodness?"

Easton double fisting the kit-kat he had been eyeing all night
Zoe and Reagan giving their "dog's" a rest and diggin into some treats!
The kids had so much fun at the end of the night passing out candy to all the people that came knocking at the door. After a while they started chasing down kids with candy in hand and giving it to them before they'd even get to the door. It just warmed my heart seeing my kids so completely excited and chuck full of Halloween delight!

Halloween party at play group

Since the kids had school off sweet Lisa Duncan invited not only the usual little 2 year olds over but the big kids too and played lots of Halloween games! What a day!!

Trunk or Treat with the church

We invited the Christensens and the neighborhood kids to come join us at the ward trunk or treat.
We went with a toy story 3 theme this year. Reagan is the barbie and Easton is obviously Buzz Lightyear. The plan was for Brock and me to be Jesse and Woody but that never came to fruition.

The Buzz face off
My two cuties waiting in line to get some fishies!
Easton's favorite.....anything he can throw!
Norma Jean came with us too and passed out the candy from our trunk.

I remember doing this too as a kid....counting my candy and putting it in piles so I could trade with my brothers and friends.
