The Ebmeyer Family

The Ebmeyer Family
Hi. We're the Ebmeyers. We love to swim, swing at the park, go for walks, ride our bikes, play at the beach, read books, dance, and really just be together. The only thing better than this is sharing it with friends. In the words of Jack Johnson, "It's always better when we're together".

April 2014 Spring Break

We kicked off Spring Break with a pizza and pool party at our friend's house for FHE.
The twinners little pool jail so I can make sure they aren't darting into the water
Scout tried to get in so many times so I finally gave in and let her go for a dip.
Off to the library to load up on books...and of course play in the kids area.

She's brilliant....already reading on her own;)
Reese and Reagan

 Barren and Harper

Since our pool is under construction....perfect timing with spring break and all...we're off to Beachwalk with the Blads.

Time for some bunny craft making!

We are obvious Ronald Reagan fans in this house and have been meaning to see his library for years now. Our little Reagan just finished doing her school biography project on him and since we now have some free time with spring break....the stars finally aligned so we spent the day in Simi Valley at his gorgeous library. We loved every second of it.
This is my favorite photo of him. It catches my attention every time I see it.
The kids got to try to read a teleprompter. They got to choose one of his movies and "act" with him.

Reagan got another chance to practice one of his speeches off of the teleprompter.

Air Force One
We got to go inside and see the "football" or at least the suitcase that held it and where they kept it on the plane.

The picture made of Jelly Bellies
Reagan was so excited to see this live. She used a picture of this for her presentation to her class in her oral report and handed out Jelly Bellies to everyone (an obvious way to "win" the crowd).

The Berlin Wall. I had Reagan sit next to me and listen to one of my favorite speeches..."Tear down this wall!"
Just going for a little ride with the Gipper.

They also had a touring baseball museum in the basement. It was really cool.

 Here's his grave.
The girls were asleep even before we left the parking lot.

April 2014 Breakfast with my Roger's family

We met CK's family and my parents at their hotel for breakfast before they left back to AZ.

Here we are playing a little catch and basketball.
